The Algerian government announced at the beginning of June the creation of an institute in renewable energies, and for this, the Algerian ministers of vocational training and education Hoyem Benfreha, and the one of energy transition and renewable energies Chems Eddine Chitour have joined forces. They held talks with Turkish diplomatic representatives to strengthen cooperation in vocational training between the two countries.
We can understand the interest that Algeria has in this field and its ambition to develop the sustainable and national economy excluding hydrocarbons through the efforts made, such as the training institute of renewable energies, which by 2035 will train executives for the contribution to the energy transition strategy for the state targeting 16,000 MW of clean energy plants.
This cooperation between Algeria and Turkey is therefore in order to multiply the steps to develop professional training in this field. According to the press release published for this purpose, the objective is to promote and support training opportunities in energy transition and renewable energies; through this meeting, the two parties will ensure the improvement of the level of trainers and training programs according to international criteria, and market requirements.
Through the solicitation, Turkey will provide Algeria with human resources support to improve the level of trainers and to strengthen the sector by Turkish experts in the field.
